Callistemon viminalis 'Little John' (Weeping Bottlebrush, Little John Dwarf Bottlebrush)
Callistemon viminalis is an evergreen multi-trunke tree. It has bright red flower spikes. The tree has a weeping branches which is full of the fuzzy bright red flowers in spring. The flowers are attracting hummingbirds. The tree needs to be grown on full sun and preferably on moist soil. It can tolerate drought but best flowering occurs with regular watering. The cultivar `Red Cascade' has large red flowers in spring and fall.
'Little John' is a dwarf cultivar that offers the same bright red fuzzy flower clusters but on a dwarf, dense, rounded shrub.
