Thymus vulgaris (Common Thyme)
Thymus vulgaris is native to Southern Europe. It can tolerate drought and rcky soil, as long as it is exposed to full light and is put in alkaline to neutral soil, which has sand or loam characteristics. Oregano or thyme is a herb, its evergreen and its leaf represent the edible part. Used as a ground cover , in rock garden.
