Arbutus unedo (Strawberry tree, Cane apple)
Arbutus unedo is a distinctive spreading evergreen shrub or small tree native to the mediterranean region, with green fleshy leaves and reddish bark. Hanging clusers of small white flowers opens during autumn. It has an edible fruit. Tolerates slightly alkine conditions. Execellent for a large border.
