Tabebuia rosea (Apamate, Pink Poui)
Pink trumpet tree is an upright medium size tree which can be evergreen or deciduous depending on the season. Palmate leaf looks like a hand. The two outermost, lower leaflets are markedly smaller in size (which helps differentiate this species from other pink-flowering trumpet trees) The flower is a funnel shape pink with a yellow eyes inside. Its blooming at late winter or spring depending the the dry season. Bees pollinate the flowers, leading to production of smooth seed pods that yield copious numbers of seeds. The tree is drought tolerant and can withstand salt. In shady condition the tree will flower but very late and much less flower than in sunny possition.
