Fagus sylvatica 'Pendula' (Weeping beech)
Weeping European beech is magnificent weeping deciduous tree is best known for its smooth silver-gray bark. It has a glossy elliptic bright green leaf which turned yellow or copper color in the fall. Inconspicuous flowers in spring are followed by small bristly capsules in late summer and fall. The tree is very tough and reliable. Grows very slow and can live for hundreds of years. Prefers sun or partial sun, established trees tolerate some drought. The large form of this tree ideal for park trees and for specimens. Hedge can be created with heavy pruning
