Dianthus caryophyllus (Carnation)
Dianthus caryophyllus is a tender perennial, native to the Mediterranean area. It's famous for its large colorful flower, whitch has a star shape. It can be found in purple, pink, red, yellow or white. It has a sweet fragrance, and a sweet taste as well. Used in some perfumes.
Easily grown in full sun, and average, medium, well-drained soil.
