Lavendula dentata (French Lavender)
A highly ornamental, low growing fragrant sub-shrub. French lavender has a narrow, gray-green fragrant leaves, with square toothed edges. Flowers are fragrant and lavender in color, on short spike clusters topped with petal-like bracts. It does very well on sandy loamy soil with very good drainage. Blooms continually, in mild-winter areas. The flower attracts bees . Drought tolerant but do best with regular watering. Should be pruned immediately after blooming to keep the plant compact.
