Bucida buceras (Black Olive)
Bucida buceras is an evergreen tree with inconspicuous, small, greenish-yellow flowers. The tree can reach 12-15 m at maturity but grows very slow. The fruit resembles to olive fruit but not edible. In fast it becomes messy when it drops the fruits as they exude a staining tannic acid material which could damage sidewalks, or cars parked below. It should be planted on a full sun places and grows very well as street, shade or specimen tree.
