Westringia fruitcosa (Coast Rosemary)

Westringia fruitcosa  (Coast Rosemary) looks like Rosemary without the nice fragrance in the leaves. It is native to Australia. It is a dense evergreen shrub reaching maximum of 1.5 m in height. Leaves are in whorls on silvery stems, the linear green or gray-green leaves have white undersides. The white or pale blue flowers appear all year long in the warm climate. Bees loves this flower. Plants are upright when young, more spreading with age .It is highly tolerant of salt spray and drought. It needs full sun and well drained soil. Used as a border, or in xeriscaping. It may be invasive in some sites.
