Eremophila maculata (Native fuchsia, Spotted emu bush)

Eremophila maculata   is an evergreen, perennial shrub native of Australia, also known as “spotted emu bush”. It has a nicely rounded form with gray-green leaves. Its fuchsia colored, tubular shaped flowers will also likely attract some hummingbirds to your yard.   Eremophila literally means "desert loving” because it is tolerant of heat, drought, light freezes and tropical humidity.

This shrub is toxic to sheeps, goats, cattles, horses and pigs.
