Aloysia citrodora (Lemon Verbena and Lemon Beebrush)
Aloysia citriodora, known as lemon verbena, is native to Argentina and Chile, and is grown in tropical regions. It has shiny strong lemon sented lanceolate green leaves. In addition, white to pale lilac flowers, of ornamental sinificance, bloom from mid-summer to early fall. Leaves and flowers can be used for culinary purposes (teas, desserts, fruit salads and jams) perfumes, cosmetics, for potpourris and as herbal medicines .
