The evergreen plant is originated from South America. The leaves are compound dark green scented when crashed. The fruit is very attractive red and sometime used in a pepper mixes as a cheap substitute for the real pepper. It can grow well in sun or partial shade. In same Mediterranean region like California is it already registered as one of the worst invader plant.
