Cotoneaster horizontalis (Cotoneaster)
Cotoneaster is a semi-evergreen multi-stemmed shrub with a maximum of 1 m height and 1.5 m spread. The branches are slender and drooping. The leaves are very tiny simple dark green. Fall color is purplish. The flowers are light pink blooms in late spring small but showy. The fruit is a small red pome, eaten by animals. It prefers well drained fertile soil and full sun. Wind and pH tolerant. Can be used as a ground cover, mass planting, espalier.
