Dioon edule (Virgin palm, Mexican cycad,)
Mexican cycad is one of the plant still remaining from the ancient flora. It can grow about 2-3 mi in height. The 120-160 leaflets on each leaf are small leathery with a sharp point. The seeds are edible . It can grow best in a partial shade and considered drought resistant.Dioon edule is one of the most cold hardy cycads. Used as a large specimen or in container
