Eriobotrya japonica (Loquat)
Loquat is a small short trunked tree.It has lonf evergreen leaf, hairy on the bottom and an attractive fragrant flower blooming during Mediterranean winter. Early spring the edible fruits are ready to be picked. The tree can be planted from the sea level up to 700 m altitude. Loquat does well in moist, well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade.
