Bergenia cordifolia (heartleaf bergenia, pig-squeak )
commonly known as the heart-leaved bergenia it is also known as pig squeak for the noise made from rubbing the leaves. it is perennial with foliage that is clump-forming with leaves that are leathery, in some places, it stays evergreen but can also turn red in cold climates toothed and dark green. its flowers grow on long stalks with small dense dark pink flowers that can be used for floral arrangements or for edging paths
