Cordia sebestena (Geiger tree)

Geiger tree is small flowering tree from the Caribbean region. The large shiny evergreen leaves have a sandpaper texture. Anytime the temperature are warm, branch tip may produce clusters of orange flowers.The tree makes an exceptional choice for coastal gardens or xeriscape landscapes. It tolerates heat and drought, salt and alkaline soil. It makes a good   tropical street tree where irrigation is limited .
