Terminalia arjuna (Winged myrobalan)
This tree is native to India and Bangladesh. It usually grows next to rivers, or on dry river beds. It's a large tree that can attain up to 25 meters high. It has a dence irregular canopy, coarse in texture and rounded (vase) in shape.
A type of moth, Antheraea paphia, feeds on its leaves and produce the tassar silk which has a high commercial value.
