Chlorophytum comosum (spider plant)

Spider plants is native to South Africa where it grows in a light or dark shade. The linear leaves are green or variegated white and green. The flowers are white grows on a loose panicle. The plants producing stolons and offset.It is one of the most commonly used house plants as it can bear full shady condition. In warm and hot regions it is used as ground cover. It can withstand limited drought but looks best in well irrigated soil.
