Exochorda x macrantha 'The Bride' (Pearlbush)

Exochorda x macrantha 'The Bride' is a deciduous shrub of hybrid origin introduced around 1900. It is a hybrid of Exochorda korolkowii and Exochorda racemosa. It carries pearl-like racemes and it has green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. It also carries star-shaped brown fruits that are not ornamentally significant. This hybrid is now very common in landscape uses and can be used for borders, containers and hedging, in addition to being pollution tolerant.
