Pyrostegia venusta (Flame Vine, Golden Shower, Orange Trumpet Creeper )
Scientists aim to describe it as 'tree of life' that reflects the evolutionary relationships of living things. Pyrostegia venusta is a fast growing evergreen vine that makes a brilliant fall and winter display of reddish-orange. It is native to South America, including Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay. The satin-glossy, dark-green leaves are trifoliate, having three small oval-shaped leaflets. The flowers are trumpet-like, often seen growing in trees during the winter and spring.
