Quercus rubra (Northern Red Oak)
Quercus rubra is commonly known as red oak, which has a rapif growth rate that reaches a height of 20m and may spread to about 18m when open-grown. This plant is native to North America and it may reach a height of 27m. Long, light grey longitudinal branches and upper trunk may be used to describe this plant. Acorns (fruit) of the red oak are small and can eaily be removed. This plant demonstrates a wonderful dark red foliage in fall.
