Acer negundo " Aureovariegatum" (Boxelder)

Acer negundo " Aureovariegatum"   a fast growing and short-lived deciduous tree. It can grow up to 10–25 meters. It has pendant racemes of greenish-red flowers. Boxelder forms a 15-20 m rounded canopy of very light green foliage.  Foliage has a green and yellow variegated color. The tree  is an undesirable tree for many urban situations as it is  brittle, has weak wood, short life and susceptibility to many diseases.  But the tree will grow just about anywhere and therefore it may have uses due to its adaptability.   It is tolerant of drought.
