Scarlet Sage used most of the time as annual plantation but in Zone 10 and above could act as a tender perennial.  Native from Brazil can grow up to 50 cm, with long and dense bright colored flower.  Cultivars are available in various shades of red, pink, blue, lavender, orange, white and bicolor.

Grow it in partial or full sun with adequate water mainly in the summertime. Used as beds, borders or container planations.
