Prunus avium (Cherry)
Sweet cherry is originated from region between the Black and Caspian Seas. It is a large deciduous tree with a dark green leaf serrated leaves. Early spring the blossom appear and needs pollinating tree nearby to ensure a good fruit crop. Plant sweet cherries in climates where summers are drier. The tree requires a minimum of 1000-1500 chilling hour to secure fruiting. Cherry tree is usually not pruned maximum the dead benches are removed.
