Zoysia tenuifolia (Zoysia grass)

Zoysia is a perennial grass which  is usually left unmowed for a natural look.  Zoysia  is very slow-growing, very fine-textured, and dark green in color, with good shade tolerance. Zoysia is typically used as a ground cover in oriental gardens among rocks, ponds, and other features.
