Mandevilla splendens (My Fair Lady)
The Mandevilla is a woody evergreen plant with twining stems and glossy bright green leaves. It undergoes best growth in full sun and moist, well-drained soil and needs support to climb. This plant is grown mainly for its outstanding flowers that bloom repeatedly. The flowers are large pink, funnel-form flowers with white and yellow throats. The plant belongs to the same family as oleander and like the latter, the sap is very toxic.
