Dianthus chinensis (Dianthus, China pink)
Dianthus chinensis is native to China. It is grown in loamy or sandy soil with a pH range neutral to alkaline. It needs full to partial sunlight and a moderate amount of water. The simple linear leaves grow alternate to each other. They are the poisonous part of the plant. As for the flowers they bloom within the months of April and June, they are red, pink or white colored. It is used as a bedding plant, container, cut-flower, mixed Border, rock garden/wall.
