Calophyllum inophyllum (Alexandrian Laurel, Tamanu)
Alexandrian Laurel is usually found in tropical landscapes where plants grow fast. The bark is ridged with a light grey color and the wood is valuable where it is used for boat building and cabinet work. It can be used as a tall hedge or for wind break next to tennis courts; it can also be used as an urban street tree. The fruit is poisonous which can be undesirable when designing.
